FCE Part 4 Reported Speech Practice
FCE Use of English Part 4 — 10 interactive reported speech items for Cambridge B2 First, with instant answers.
Reported speech in Part 4 is rarely just said that. Cambridge locks a reporting verb: DENIED, SUGGESTED, REMINDED, ACCUSED. Backshift and verb patterns (deny + -ing, remind + object + to) do the work.
Keep the key word unchanged. If you write denied to take instead of denied taking, the mark is gone.
Complete the second sentence so that it has a similar meaning, using the word given.
