How this part works
Ejercicios interactivos de la parte 4 del Use of English B2 First (key word transformation), con respuestas.
FCE Use of English Part 4 is key word transformation: six items, two marks each, and the strictest word limit in the paper. You rewrite a sentence so it means the same, using the given key word. The answer must be between two and five words, and the key word cannot change form.
This is the part Spanish-speaking candidates search as parte 4 Use of English B2 — and it is where many lose marks they cannot afford. Reported speech, conditionals, passives, comparatives, and so/such swaps all appear as hinges around one locked word. A grammatically pretty sentence that adds a sixth word scores zero.
Use Test 1 to map the hinge before you write: WISH, UNLESS, SUCH, DENIED each pull a structure. Count words after you draft, splitting contractions (don’t = two words). Test 2 is for exam pace: roughly 90 seconds per item. These tests are FCE Use of English practice you can check immediately — not a PDF you mark later.
